Belcher, 21, of Warsaw, sustained extensive head injuries and has remained hospitalized in a coma since the incident. Initially, doctors have him only a 30 percent chance of survival, but Belcher has fought their prognosis and is still hanging on.
Although he is not out of the woods completely yet, he has shown signs of hope.
With mounting medical bills and no insurance, a fund has been established to help the family with gas money, bills and medical expenses.
The fund has been established through FundRazr and is being shared via social media.
